Within the framework of his working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, on December 15, SC Secretary Armen Grigoryan met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Tobias Billström and the Chairman of the Riksdag Committee on Foreign Relations Aron Emilson and members of the committee.

As reported by the RA Security Council office, Armen Grigoryan presented to the interlocutors the closure of the Lachin Corridor, the only road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, and the resulting humanitarian crisis.  In this context, the Secretary of the Security Council emphasized the importance of an adequate response of the international community.

Foreign Minister Tobias Billström emphasized Sweden’s readiness to support stability in the region and overcome conflicts, both within the framework of the OSCE and with the support of the European Union.
