The government redistributed the state budget and allocated 580 million AMD for the construction, design, and examination of a number of facilities.
Gnel Sanosyan noted that out of 580 million AMD 549 million is for construction, and the rest is for technical, author control, and expertise.
“We have 7 objects where construction is underway, we are allocating money for that. In one of them, the construction company did not do the work, we had to cancel the contract, we announced a new tender, that’s why we are allocating money again. It is the bridge near Haghartsin village. We have 4 design and 6 examination works,” the minister said.
He mentioned that the new 19.5 km section of the Tatev-Aghvan interstate highway is planned to be completely repaired next year.
“We have problems in the section, there is a need for major repairs, overloaded vehicles damage other sections as well, considering the large tourist role of this region. Although we will have a Tatev-Ltsen road, we will thoroughly repair this road so that it serves both tourist and other purposes,” Sanosyan said.
The minister noted that in recent years’ large volume of road construction works, a lot of attention is also paid to bridges because sometimes they are invisible, but there are time wear and other problems that need to be solved.
“We believe that the major repair of the road bypassing Yerevan to Masis on the Abovyan-Arinj-Jrvezh section will facilitate the traffic of our citizens who want to go to the Ararat valley. They will not need to enter Yerevan, and the flow in Yerevan will be eased,” he said.
