Russia has turned to Armenia through diplomatic channels to confirm the news of banning the entry of Konstantin Zatulin and Margarita Simonyan to Armenia and to get clarifications. As TASS reports, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova said:
“We immediately appealed to the Armenian side through diplomatic channels for official confirmation and clarifications. We have seen such reports, and we have officially asked to clarify whether it is true and if it is confirmed, what it is related to,” said Zakharova.
It should be reminded that on October 25, it became known that Konstantin Zatulin, the chairman of the commission for CIS affairs, Eurasian integration, and relations with compatriots of the Russian Federation, was banned from entering Armenia.
Margarita Simonyan, head of the Russian RT TV channel, and media manager responded to this and said that her entry to the Republic of Armenia was banned.
