We are deeply concerned about the recent violence and vandalism targeting Christian institutions in Jerusalem. RA MFA spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan wrote about this on Twitter.

He specifically mentioned the violence against the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Armenian residents of the Old City.

It should be noted that two attacks took place within 24 hours on January 28, one near the synagogue in the Neve Yaakov neighbourhood, and the other near the “City of David” archaeological excavation center.

On the same day, a group of Jewish extremists also provoked a fight in an Armenian restaurant, and on January 29, there were attacks on Armenians and the Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem.
