“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is going to participate in the informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS countries in St. Petersburg,” said the representative of the RA government.

In response to the question of whether Pashinyan is going to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in St. Petersburg, the press service of the government stated that at the moment only participation in the meeting in the format of CIS leaders is on the agenda.

Every year in December, the leaders of the last CIS countries have an informal meeting, during which the cooperation between the CIS countries during that year is discussed and the tasks to be done for the coming year are outlined. All the leaders of the CIS countries participate in the meeting, but in recent years the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, refuses to participate in the meetings in this format.
