The U20 and U23 European Weightlifting Championship goes on in Durres, Albania. Armenia’s representative Milena Khachatryan (76 kg), having a result of 219 kg (99+120) in the doubles, became the European U20 champion, RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. 

He was also the best in both snatch and push. Turkish Dilara Ukan (216 kg) took second place, and Latvian Daniela Ivanova (215 kg) became the bronze medalist.

This is Armenia’s 4th medal in the Youth European Championship.

Gor Sahakyan became the EA champion earlier. Mnatsakan Abrahamyan and Rafik Minasyan won a bronze medal in the tournament.

Today, Suren Grigoryan, Gevorg Ghahramanyan (both 89 kg, U20), and Vardan Manukyan (89 kg, U23) will fight for medals from the representatives of Armenia.
