Erdogan talked about a possible meeting with Pashinyan, as well as Pelosi’s visit to Armenia
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded his visit to New York within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly with a conversation with journalists, Turkish Anadolu Agency reports.
Erdogan announced a possible meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Erdogan noted that he may have a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan at the summit of the European Political Community in Prague, at the same time noting that he will “talk to brother Ilham Aliyev and take action accordingly”.
Later, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan informed that Armenia doesn’t rule out the possibility of a meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Prague, meanwhile noting that such a meeting is not confirmed at this moment.
Ararat Mirzoyan participated in the reception given by Joe Biden
On September 21, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan participated in the reception given by US President Joe Biden in honor of the delegations of the countries participating in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
A short conversation between the RA Foreign Minister and the US President took place during the event.
Pashinyan met the President of Iran in New York
RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the RA government reports.
The Prime Minister referred in detail to the large-scale aggression undertaken by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia and its consequences, emphasizing the importance of the international community, including Iran’s adequate response to the condemnation of Azerbaijani actions, the withdrawal of Azerbaijani units from the sovereign territory of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan expressed his satisfaction with the clear assessments of the Iranian side and emphasized the close bilateral cooperation in the current situation.
Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Hussein Baqeri, advised Yerevan and Baku to resolve disputes peacefully and through dialogue. He emphasized that Iran will not tolerate border changes in the region.
One of the civilians injured as a result of Azerbaijan’s aggression passed away
As a result of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan, one of the civilians who was injured and was being treated in the hospital passed away. The health condition of the other two is assessed as moderate.
It should be reminded that 7 civilians were injured as a result of the shelling of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of Armenian positions and settlements.
