Protest held in front of the government building in support of Berdzor, Aghavno, and Nerkin Sus
A group of citizens was protesting in front of the Armenian government building in support of Berdzor, Aghavno, and Nerkin Sus settlements. They demanded from the authorities not to allow the Armenian settlements to be surrendered. One of the participants of the action said in a conversation with journalists that the people were convinced that it is not possible to bring back what was lost, but it can be brought back only through consolidation and being demanding.
It should be reminded that the Aghavno, Berdzor, and Nerkin Sus settlements of the Kashatagh region must be handed over to the Azerbaijani side on August 25.
There were 12 families in Nerkin Sus, of which only one remained in the village – a single woman, who will also leave the village on August 25, Mkhitar Nersisyan, head of the village of Nerkin Sus informed.
“Residents have mostly moved to Armenia. One resident has expressed his desire to stay in Artsakh, we are cooperating with Artsakh authorities to accommodate him in Artsakh. Those displaced residents who lived here until August 25 will be given a certificate to purchase an apartment,” said the head of the village.
In response to the question, of whether or not there were any bans on the residents of Nerkin Sus from burning their houses or talking about being deprived of assistance, Mkhitar Nersisyan gave a negative answer.
