Artsakh Secretary of the Council requested the Russian peacekeepers to prohibit the entry of Azerbaijani and other mass media into their area of responsibility without consent

 

On August 18, 2022, the Armenian media outlet 168.am published a news article about the inquiry made to the press secretary of the Security Council of the Artsakh in order to clarify the fact whether Azerbaijani reporter Eynula Fatulayev is in the city of Berdzor and the village of Aghavno in the Republic of Artsakh to carry out journalistic activities.

The inquiry was made through a phone call. Turning in particular to the question of the activities of Azerbaijani journalists in the Kashatagh region of the republic, it was noted that the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh appealed to the commander of the Russian peacekeeping troops stationed in the republic and demanded to prohibit the access of Azerbaijani and other mass media in the area of ​​responsibility of the peacekeeping troops, without the consent of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh and the peacekeeping troops.

 

Social affairs ministry considers assistance program for victims of Surmalu explosion

 

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is holding discussions in the direction of launching an assistance program for the victims of the Surmalu trade center explosion, the ministry spokesperson Zara Manucharyan informs.

“At this moment there are discussions in the ministry in the direction of carrying out a state assistance program for the families of those who were killed in the Surmalu trade center blast and those who were physically injured,” Manucharyan said, adding that details of the coverage will be released additionally.

Asked whether or not the businesses who suffered damages will also receive support, Manucharyan said that this matter is not in their ministry’s jurisdiction.

On August 19, search and rescue operations go on in the area of “Surmalu” shopping center.

63 citizens applied to medical centers in Yerevan, 3 of them continue receiving treatment, and the rest received appropriate medical care and were discharged.

In the period between August 14-19, 1111 rescue workers from the territorial and structural units of the National Security Service participated in firefighting and search and rescue operations in the “Surmalu” shopping center.
