Pashinyan claims that Armenia has offered Azerbaijan a date and place for the meeting of the committee on border demarcation and border security issues

“Armenia has proposed to Azerbaijan to hold a meeting of Commissions on delimitation and border with security on 31 October in Brussels,” Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Twitter.

It should be reminded that after the meeting between Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Geneva on October 2, the Azerbaijani side reported that Bayramov proposed holding the session of the border demarcation and border security commission earlier than planned.
However, the spokesperson of the RA MFA told Infocom that the Armenian side offered to agree with the deputy prime ministers on the possibility of meeting in October.

Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his condolences regarding the explosion in the coal mine of Bartın, Turkey

RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan expressed condolences on Twitter regarding the explosion in the coal mine of Bartın, Turkey, addressing the post to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavushoghlu and the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

“Sincere condolences to all who lost loved ones during the coal mine accident in Bartın. Speedy recovery to the injured,” Mirzoyan wrote.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu responded to Ararat Mirzoyan’s post on Twitter.

“Thank you, Mr. Minister, for your sincere condolences,” he wrote.

The US will welcome any country’s efforts to normalize relations between Yerevan and Baku

The USA will welcome the efforts of any country aimed at the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku.  But we have not seen the Russian efforts that you (journalist, ed.) can talk about, the representative of the US State Department, Vedant Patel, said this as an answer to the question of whether the US is afraid that Russia may endanger the process between Yerevan and Baku through the mediation of the West.

 It should be noted that earlier the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the West is trying to interfere in the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.  “We consider this as an attempt to interfere in the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and to suppress Russia’s mediation efforts.  We know from history that EU missions did not lead to real settlement.
