In the first 10 months of 2022, 1.4 million tourists visited Armenia
In October 2022, the number of tourist visits to Armenia was 154,847.
“During the first 10 months of this year, the number of tourists who came to Armenia was 1,400,000 people.
The five countries that registered an increase in tourist visits to Armenia in the period of January-October 2022 are Russia (about 46%), Georgia (8%), Iran (7%), the USA (4%), and Germany (2%).
49% of this year’s visitors were tourists aged 36-63, and in October, mostly men visited Armenia.”

The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan had a meeting with the Acting Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati within the framework of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Welcoming President Khachaturian, the Prime Minister emphasized that Armenian-Lebanese relations have the best traditions from both political and trade-economic points of view. President Khachaturyan emphasized that Lebanon is one of Armenia’s long-standing friends in the Arab world, with whom contacts and cooperation always have wide opportunities for rapprochement and development.
The President of Artsakh called for an extended working consultation
On November 7, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, convened an extended working consultation with the participation of the leaders of the factions of the National Assembly and the chairmen of the standing committees. This was reported by the President’s office.

Within the framework of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, RA President’s office reports.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that Iraq is a reliable partner of Armenia in the region and that it attaches great importance to the deepening of multi-sectoral cooperation with Iraq.
The president of Iraq emphasized that the Armenians living in Iraq enjoy the support of the Iraqi authorities, and they highly value the close Armenian-Iraqi relations. According to him, positive dynamics have been recorded in the bilateral trade turnover in recent years, which is a sign of serious bilateral economic potential, and efforts should be made to realize it.
Moscow calls on Yerevan and Baku to refrain from destabilizing the situation
Russia calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan to refrain from steps that could destabilize the situation. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, told journalists about this, RIA Novosti reports.
“As in the past, as now, we call on both countries to refrain from actions and steps that could lead to an increase in tension,” said Peskov, addressing the question of the shootout between Armenia and Azerbaijan in recent days.

In Gegharkunik, EU monitors record Azerbaijan carried out aggression against Armenia’s borders – governor
The EU monitors in Gegharkunik province have already recorded and are confident that there has been aggression by Azerbaijan in the direction of Armenia’s borders and that there are occupied territories, Governor of Gegharkunik Karen Sargsyan told reporters today at a briefing in the Parliament.
“Violations have been registered, but obviously they have decreased in recent days. In any case, the monitors conduct their patrol, which has also left an effect, this is also a reason that the adversary has reduced the shots”, the Governor said.
He said that the EU monitors have one headquarters in the province, but they are working along the border of 11 settlements. However, he refused to say exactly where they conduct the patrol service.
The units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Armenian positions
On the night of November 6-7, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from rifle weapons of different calibers in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, RA Ministry of Defense reports. The Armenian side has no losses. As of 08:00, the situation on the frontline is relatively stable.
