Azerbaijan’s attack on the Republic of Armenia: LATEST UPDATES
- RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan left for Jermuk today to get acquainted with the situation on the ground and the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression. The president had meetings with the head of the Jermuk community Vahagn Arsenyan, and the deputy of the National Assembly Trdat Sargsyan, who were headed by the volunteer squads of the city’s defense. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan, who is in the Republic of Armenia together with the Artsakh National Assembly delegation, issued a statement, announcing that at this stage no document related to the status of Artsakh is being discussed.

At the session, the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN, Mher Margaryan, announced that Azerbaijan is planning an attack in the direction of Nakhichevan.
“There are reliable reports that Azerbaijan is planning another military attack, expanding the scope of aggression, including in the direction of Nakhichevan, in order to implement its illegal ambitions to create an extraterritorial corridor through the sovereign territory of Armenia,” Margaryan said.
The operative group of the CSTO Joint Headquarters arrives in Armenia
The operative group of the CSTO Joint Headquarters has arrived in Armenia.
The group is headed by CSTO Joint Staff Chief, Colonel-General Anatoli Sidorov. Sidorov was received by RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, who presented the situation created as a result of the large-scale aggression carried out by Azerbaijan and presented the issues related to the upcoming monitoring.
The minister expressed hope that the group will carry out effective work and submit a detailed and accurate report on the operational situation to the CSTO Collective Security Council.
In the upcoming days, the operative group will perform appropriate work in the main headquarters of the RA Armed Forces and in the areas of combat operations.
