Azerbaijan returned 17 Armenian POWs to the Armenian side through the mediation of the USA
The press secretary of the RA Ministry of Defense informs that today the Azerbaijani side returned 17 Armenian prisoners of war to the Armenian side with the mediation of the USA.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the return of 17 Armenian POWs by Azerbaijan.
“I highly appreciate the efforts of the United States for assisting to return our 17 POW’s. I hope with joint efforts together with our international partners we will further register progress in resolving both humanitarian issues and establishing peace in the region,” Pashinyan wrote on Twitter.
Reactions to the video of the execution of Armenian POWs shared by Azerbaijan
The Foreign Ministry of Cyprus issued a statement regarding the execution of unarmed Armenian prisoners of war by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the executions of unarmed Armenian prisoners by the forces of Azerbaijan.
We call once again for the immediate release of all Armenian prisoners as well as for a thorough investigation of the executions to ensure perpetrators are held to account.”
“Utterly appalled by the horrific reports of the execution of unarmed Armenian prisoners by Azerbaijani forces. Greece strongly condemns such acts of violence and calls for a thorough investigation to ensure perpetrators are held to account”, the Foreign Ministry said.

The spokesperson to the Russian President Dmitry Peskov commented on the publication in Armtimes.com, according to which Russia is forcing Armenia to join the Union State, for which Moscow encourages Baku. Peskov called it “another nonsense”.

NATO supports the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan and the special representative of the Secretary-General of NATO in the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina had a meeting in Brussels.
“Good to meet in Brussels with Armen Grigoryan Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia. We discussed the situation in the region & the status of talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan after Sunday’s meeting of Foreign Ministers in Geneva. NATO supports the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Colomnia wrote.
