The United States allocated 2 million dollars for demining in the Karabakh conflict zone

The US State Department allocated 2 million dollars for demining in the Karabakh conflict zone. 

 “The United States of America is pleased to announce about the allocation of 2.000.000 dollars for the implementation of humanitarian demining operations in the areas affected by the intense fighting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani forces in the South Caucasus in the fall of 2020. In the conflict zone, landmines and unexploded ordnance continue to kill and maim civilians, block economic development and prevent the safe return of displaced populations.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spreads another misinformation

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has spread another misinformation. In the evening the units of the RA Armed Forces did not open fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone, RA Ministry of Defense reports.

The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable and is under the full control of the RA Armed Forces units.

This was announced by the representative of the European Union’s foreign political service regarding the increase in tension along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the contact line in Artsakh and possible risks of destabilization of the situation by Azerbaijan.

 “We call on the parties to refrain from such actions that could aggravate the situation and derail the ongoing settlement process, which the European Union strongly supports and remains committed to,” Peter Stano said.

The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened fire in the direction of Karmir Shuka and Taghavard

Today, around 04:00-04:30, the Azerbaijani side opened fire for about 30 minutes from the positions located in front of the Karmir Shuka and Taghavard communities of the Martuni region of Artsakh, using different types and caliber of rifles.

According to the currently verified information, one house in Taghavard, and two residential houses in Karmir shuka were damaged.

Pashinyan, Erdogan, and Aliyev to participate in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

On September 15-16, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will leave for the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to participate in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the information and public relations department of the Prime Minister’s Office reports

Apart from the heads of SCO member states, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Armenia will also participate in this year’s summit as guests.

According to the Turkish Hürriyet, a meeting between Erdogan and Putin is planned within the framework of the summit.
