The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the note of the Russian Embassy in the prescribed manner. Vahan Hunanyan, the spokesperson of RA MFA, stated this in response to Infocom’s question.

When asked why the response of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia is not published, the spokesperson replied that the content of the note is part of the internal diplomatic protocol.

 “Accordingly, we do not consider it right to publish it,” he said.

Earlier, on August 17, the Russian Embassy sent a note to the RA Foreign Ministry, stating that they are “upset by the cynical materials circulating in the local information field, which accuse the Russian side of the Surmalu explosion.” 

The Russian Embassy had expressed hope that the Armenian authorities will suppress such steps.
