There are no concrete results on the issue of negotiations on the opening of “Zangezur Corridor”, as Armenia is delaying this process under various pretexts. Bayramov

Official Baku expressed at the highest level support for the process of settlement of relations between Turkey and Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told Anadolu agency.

He noted that Azerbaijan has a positive attitude towards the appointment of special representatives of Armenia and Turkey and their three meetings. Referring to the South Caucasus, Bayramov said that Baku allegedly always advocated good relations with all countries.

He said that after the Second Artsakh War, Azerbaijan allegedly left on the side the “wounds of the past”, declaring its readiness for peace and normalization of relations with Armenia. Bayramov said that the peace agenda of Baku provoked a positive response from the international community, including at the level of the European Union. He recalled that at the initiative of the EU, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan have held two personal meetings over the past two months, noting that the unblocking of communications in the region, as well as the delimitation and demarcation of borders between the two countries were also included in the agenda of the negotiations, among other issues.

“There are no concrete results on the issue of negotiations on the opening of the “Zangezur corridor”, since Armenia is delaying this process under various pretexts. Turkey and Azerbaijan openly declare that we have no problems with Yerevan. Our countries stand for normal relations with Armenia. If Yerevan takes appropriate steps, observes the norms of international law and takes into account the realities of the region, good results will be possible,” Bayramov said.
