President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received delegation led by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State overseeing policy for Southern Europe and the Caucasus Erika Olson. The delegation includes US State Department’s Senior Adviser on Caucasus Negotiations Andrew Schofer, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger, US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan and US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy.

During the conversation, an exchange of views on regional issues took place, issues of the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, negotiations on the preparation of a peace treaty, and the opening of communications were discussed. Aliyev said that the Azerbaijani delegation is ready to start negotiations in connection with the peace treaty.
