Vladimir Putin held talks in the Kremlin with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who is on an official visit to Russia, Kremlin press service reports.

“Today, we will sign a declaration on allied interaction, which will obviously become a new stage in the development of our relations, and it has been made possible after making headway in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, although not completely settling it,” Putin said

The President of Azerbaijan arrived in Russia on February 21 on an official visit. The Kremlin said that the leaders of the two countries plan to sign a declaration on allied cooperation, discuss issues of economic and political cooperation and the implementation of agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh between Yerevan, Baku and Moscow.
