A number of MPs from the “Armenia” (Hayastan) faction met with Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin in Parliament, Seyran Ohanyan told reporters.

“The council of the faction met with the Ambassador. We discussed the situation, presented the views of our faction on the current military-political situation. We also discussed issues related to parliamentary cooperation. And, of course, we discussed the situation that has developed around Armenia,” Ohanyan said.

Ohanyan added that during the meeting the Armenian-Russian cooperation was stressed.

“We talked about border activities. There are some closed problems that I would not like to talk about here today. I think that I said about the main directions,” Ohanyan said.

When asked whether there was a conversation about the possible signing of a new document between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the mediation of Russia, Ohanyan replied: “We have asked. The ambassador said that he didn’t have full information about it.”
