France will continue to assist Armenia in overcoming the consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Le Drian

France will continue to assist Armenia in overcoming the consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country, it will remain consistent in the search for ways of a long-term settlement of the conflict.

This is stated in the congratulatory message of the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“I congratulate you on becoming the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

Your country has faced a number of challenges in the field of security, economy and health in recent months. I would like to confirm France’s full support for the Armenian people going through this difficult stage.

France and Armenia have relations based on deep historical and cultural ties. The quality of the Armenian-French political dialogue obliges us to further deepen our economic cooperation for the benefit of unblocking and diversifying the Armenian economy in particular.

France will continue to assist Armenia in overcoming the consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country, it will remain consistent in the search for ways of a long-term settlement of the conflict.

If the incidents of recent months emphasize the need to work on the demarcation and delimitation of the borders of your country, we want the positive dynamics that emerged as a result of the recent exchanges of POWs and maps of mined zones to help restore trust between the parties. France works for peace in the South Caucasus region and is with Armenia in achieving the much-needed and expected peace,” the congratulatory message reads.
