The delegation of the RA Ministry of Defense participated in the international conference of NATO

From December 8 to 9, the delegation led by Hamlet Batikyan, Secretary General of the RA Ministry of Defense, participated in the NATO international conference entitled “The role of building goodwill in the Armed Forces in the protection of democratic values and strengthening of public and institutional resilience” in Brussels, RA Ministry of Defense reports.

The conference was attended by the leaders of the structures responsible for the strengthening of good conduct, the fight against corruption, and the protection of human rights in the defense departments of NATO member and partner countries, representatives of international organizations, and leading expert centers. The best practices for strengthening morale in the armed forces of different countries, existing problems, and systemic approaches to their solution were presented and discussed.

In Brussels, RA Defense Secretary General Hamlet Batikyan also had bilateral meetings with the leadership of NATO’s goodwill-building program. An agreement was reached on the activation of joint programs, and the list of next year’s events was reaffirmed. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense invited the project management and experts to Armenia in order to receive the necessary advice on the spot regarding raising the risk issues of the personnel management, financial planning, audit, and procurement system and developing complex actions to neutralize them.
