A discussion between the Russian peacekeepers’ command and the monitoring group consisting of Azerbaijani “environmentalists” took place today in the city of Ivanyan, Artsakh.
Azerbaijani media have published videos stating that the Russian peacekeeping force in Artsakh, led by commander Andrey Volkov, does not allow Azerbaijani media to cover the discussions.
In one of the published videos, in response to the claims of Azerbaijani journalists that their work and rights are being violated, the commander of the Russian military contingent, Andrey Volkov, states that the entry of cameras and journalists to the discussions is prohibited.
“No camera. Nothing. I also read and see everything. This is defamation,” says the Russian commander.
In another video published, Azerbaijani journalists try to cross the checkpoint of the Russian peacekeeping troops and invade the Artsakh territory in the direction of Stepanakert. However, the peacekeepers involved additional forces and obstructed them by blocking the road.
