Search operations are going on in the area of the “Surmalu” shopping center. The employees of the Special Purpose Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and volunteers of the “Red Cross” humanitarian organization are working at the scene. Armen Pambukhchyan, Minister of Emergency Situations wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“We are conducting search operations at the alleged place of the explosion. Because of the danger of collapse, we have carried out reinforcement construction works to ensure the safety of the rescuers in order to continue the search in the basement,” Pambukhchyan wrote.
