In a conversation with Infocom, the spokesman of the RA Ministry of Defense Aram Torosyan mentioned that at the moment (around 10:30 in the morning) there is no tension on the RA border.
“The armed forces of the Republic of Armenia are vigilantly monitoring the state border entrusted to them and are in full control of the situation, as of now it is a relatively stable situation,” he said.
In response to the clarifying question, of whether Azerbaijani troops or equipment are accumulated on the border of Tavush, the PM’s spokesperson stated that his comment referred to the situation on the Tavush border itself.
Earlier, on August 3, starting at 9 am, the Azerbaijani units used grenade launchers and UAVs with strikes in the direction of the Armed Forces positions of the Republic of Artsakh. According to the latest data, the Armenian side has 2 victims and 19 wounded.
According to the Defense Ministry, steps are being taken to stabilize the situation with the mediation of the Russian military command.
