The governor of Gegharkunik Karen Sargsyan met RA Human Rights Defender Kristine Grigoryan and HRD office employees today.
At the beginning of the meeting, the RA human rights defender was interested in the situation on the borders of the region, water and gas supplies, organization of agricultural works, the general condition of shelters, the progress of construction works, access to and response to applications or alarms received from citizens.
“The regional headquarters are in constant contact with the command of the second army corps of the RA Armed Forces, are aware of the situation, and are doing everything possible to ensure the safety of the border settlements, the peaceful life, and work of the population.
It is okay that life has now become somewhat difficult in the border settlements of our region, which is only because of the threat of the Azerbaijani armed forces, which exists as a result of the May 2021 invasion. Nevertheless, our army is able to ensure the peace and peaceful work of the population. We have many projects of socio-economic and vital significance to be implemented in those settlements. I hope that all our border settlements will be strengthened and will follow the path of normal development. All the problems of these settlements are at the center of our constant attention, which we try to solve step by step.
After the meeting, Kristine Grigoryan visited the border settlements of the Vardenis community of Gegharkunik, accompanied by employees of the RA HRD office,” the governor of Gegharkunik wrote on his Facebook page.
