NKR InfoCenter has issued a statement saying that thanks to the negotiations with the support of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and Russian peacekeepers, which have been going on since March 8, the Azerbaijani side has started work on the restoration of the gas pipeline today. “In accordance with the agreement, gas supply will be restored as soon as possible, and the authorities of Artsakh are currently making every effort to make this happen as soon as possible,” the statement reads.

Russia welcomes the process of normalization of bilateral ties between Armenia and Turkey, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Moscow during a joint press briefing with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. “The meetings of the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey were organized. We welcome the process of normalization of bilateral ties between Armenia and Turkey, and we are ready for joint work which will enable to deepen cooperation between countries in the South Caucasus,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov added that during the meeting with Cavusoglu they also discussed issues related to Syria, Libya and Nagorno Karabakh.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The interlocutors discussed the situation around Nagorno Karabakh, referred to the implementation process of the agreements stipulated in the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021. Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin also referred to Armenia’s application to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs regarding the organization of negotiations on a peace treaty. The Armenian and Russian leaders exchanged views on the Armenian-Turkish dialogue, the latest regional developments, and the situation in Ukraine. Issues related to the forthcoming official visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia to the Russian Federation were also discussed.

On March 16, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan took part in the extraordinary 40th sitting of the Francophonie Ministerial Conference in Paris, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports.
The Armenian Foreign Minister drew the attention of those present to Azerbaijan’s actions aimed at escalating the situation in the South Caucasus in the current geopolitical realities. Azerbaijan’s actions aimed at creating a humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh were presented, in particular, the facts of creating obstacles to the restoration of vital infrastructures, targeting the civilian population, exerting psychological pressure on the population. “Armenia is committed to a comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs and is ready to negotiate a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan without preconditions,” Ararat Mirzoyan said.
