FM Mirzoyan held telephone conversations with James Cleverly and Sergey Lavrov
On March 4, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with James Cleverly, the newly appointed British Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports.
During the conversation, issues of regional security and stability were touched upon. Minister Mirzoyan presented the situation that has developed as a result of the 44-day war, as well as the penetration of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces into the sovereign territory of Armenia.
Touching upon urgent humanitarian issues, Ararat Mirzoyan stressed that Azerbaijan continues to hold 38 Armenian POWs and civilians hostage, and the fate of hundreds of missing persons, including dozens of forcibly disappeared, remains unsolved.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia reports.
“The Foreign Ministers discussed a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as the coordination of approaches of Russia and Armenia in the international arena.”
Foreign Minister of Artsakh discussed issues related to the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict with Frank Pallone
On March 4, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh David Babayan had a virtual meeting with Co-Chairman of the U.S. Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Frank Pallone, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh informs.
A wide range of issues related to the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict, the current situation in Artsakh, the activities aimed at overcoming the consequences of the war, the recent geopolitical developments were discussed during the meeting.
David Babayan stressed that the aggressive and expansionist policy of Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as their close relations with international terrorist organizations pose a serious threat to regional and global security, and the lack of corresponding timely response would generate tragic consequences.
The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to Congressman Pallone for constantly supporting Artsakh, struggling for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and against its denial, persistently contributing to the resolution of various pan-Armenian issues.
