As a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia promotes the continuation of the work of this format in accordance with its mandate, as well as taking into account the regional realities that emerged after 2020, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian MFA said at a briefing.

According to her, this position is fully supported by the United States and France.

“This is reflected in the joint statement of the Foreign Ministers of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries from December 7 last year. The document calls on Baku and Yerevan to receive the co-chairs in the region in the near future, which will allow them to assess the situation directly on the spot, to achieve progress in the implementation of humanitarian initiatives that were discussed at the meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Zakharova said.
