Today is the 33rd anniversary of the Spitak earthquake.

 

On December 7, 1988, at 11:41 local time, an earthquake occurred, as a result of which almost the entire northern part of Soviet Armenia, where about 1 million people lived, was destroyed.

 

According to official data, the number of victims is 25 000 people.
