Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said today that “Armenia can’t be considered an independent state, since that country is not able to ensure its security.”
“Today Armenia openly admits that can’t ensure its own security, protect its borders and is not able to live at its own expense. In such a situation, independence is out of the question. Calling Armenia an independent country is completely unfounded. Because Armenia lacks the vast majority of the qualities inherent in an independent country,” Aliyev said.
Aliyev noted that “in the autumn of 2020, during the war in Karabakh, Azerbaijan destroyed all the myths about Armenia”.
