On August 19, search and rescue operations go on in the area of “Surmalu” shopping center.
The rescue workers of the rescue department of the Yerevan State Emergency Service, the special purpose rescue operations center of the Rescue Forces Department, the firefighting and rescue operations organization department, and the on-duty teams of the Medical Support Department, as well as the volunteers of the “Red Cross” humanitarian organization, are working at the scene of the incident.
Search and rescue operations are carried out at 1 site. 1 water carrier of the municipality, as well as 2 tractors, 2 dump trucks, and 2 truck cranes are involved in the works.
63 citizens applied to medical centers in Yerevan, 3 of them continue receiving treatment, and the rest received appropriate medical care and were discharged.
In the period between August 14-19, 1111 rescue workers from the territorial and structural units of the National Security Service participated in firefighting and search and rescue operations in the “Surmalu” shopping center.
The rescuers took out 10 victims from the rubble.
