At the first session of the eighth convocation of the National Assembly the “Civil Contract” faction nominated Alen Simonyan for the post of the Speaker of the National Assembly, and the “Armenia” (Hayastan) and “I Have Honor” (Pativ unem) factions nominated the arrested MPs Mkhitar Zakaryan and Artur Sargsyan.
